VILLA HEIGHTS COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION

The Villa Heights Community Organization represents the voice of Villa Heights. The purpose of the organization is to improve the quality of life to our residents, to promote participation in the neighborhood, and to strengthen the community through activities which serve the needs and interests of our residents.

MONTHLY COMMUNITY MEETINGS

VHCO Monthly Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30pm, at Free Range Brewing (2320 North Davidson Street) and on Google Meets (see link on the “Home” Tab). Attending regular meetings keeps you up to date on what’s going on in our neighborhood, including land use discussions, re-zoning efforts, CMPD crime updates, neighborhood gatherings and volunteer efforts, and more! Even if you can’t arrive at 6:30, there will still be lots of great discussion going on when you get there. Free Range serves both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages during the meeting. We so appreciate FRB being a great supporter of our community!

Be sure to follow us on social media and sign up for email updates to stay informed.

GET INVOLVED: COMMUNITY EVENTS AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We strive to create opportunities for the community to gather to socialize and improve our community through volunteering. Our business sponsors help host community social meet-ups, and we organize a number of fun, family-friendly events throughout the year. There are also many ways to get involved by volunteering your time. From regular park clean up days, to filling a position on the board or a committee, to helping to plan the next social gathering – there are lots of opportunities to get involved! Please reach out at our next neighborhood meeting or via email at villaheights@gmail.com . Check out our events calendar to see what’s going on, and be sure to follow us on social media for the most up to date information on our neighborhood events.

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Villa Heights is a diverse community located 1 mile from Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. We are nestled between NoDa, Belmont, Optimist Park, and Plaza Midwood, with our boundaries being Parkwood Avenue, N. Davidson Street, Matheson Avenue, and The Plaza.

Villa Heights connects to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway and the Cross Charlotte Trail. This greenway runs through our beautiful Cordelia Park and connects to other neighborhoods in the area. The greenway is a great way to get around and see our area.

As one of Charlotte’s inner suburbs, the historic mill house neighborhood is an up and coming hub of breweries, local shops and restaurants.

Our neighborhood also has two light rail stops on the Lynx Blue Line, one at Parkwood & Brevard and one at 25th St & Brevard. This line provides easy access to Uptown and South End as well as to UNC Charlotte.

Villa Heights is home to over 800 residences, 24-acre Cordelia Park and swimming pool, local businesses such as Free Range Brewing and The Hobbyist, along with amazing neighbors!
